Women's leadership in Mexico returned to the center of public debate with the holding of the 5th International Forum "I Celebrate You Woman", an event that brought together key figures from the business, social, and sports sectors to analyze advances, challenges, and opportunities in terms of gender equity.

The event, organized by Integral Security Group (GSI) in Mexico City, sought not only to make visible the participation of women in different areas but also to strengthen collaboration networks and promote their role as agents of social transformation.

A space to make leadership visible and break inertia

During the day, panels were held focused on topics such as the exercise of power, the transformation of sectors, and the breaking of historical barriers that have limited women's access to decision-making spaces. The forum brought together prominent profiles such as Lorena Ochoa, president of her foundation; Rosario Marín, former Treasurer of the United States; as well as executives from financial institutions and companies in the country, who shared their experience in building professional careers in environments traditionally dominated by men.

Women's leadership as a driver of change

One of the central axes of the event was the recognition of women's leadership as a key factor in social and economic transformation. The participants agreed that the advancement of women to strategic positions not only responds to a demand for equity but also to the need to strengthen decision-making with diverse perspectives.

"Their daily work and their example have the power to inspire new generations," stated Lorena Ochoa during her participation.

Networks, recognition, and pending challenges

The forum also highlighted the importance of building support networks among women as a tool to boost professional and personal growth. According to the organizers, recognition among women and the generation of dialogue spaces are fundamental elements to advance towards a more equitable society.

"We want to create a space where women see themselves, value themselves, and propel each other," affirmed Carolina Baños, founder of the forum.

A movement beyond the event

Throughout its editions, the forum has evolved from an event into a platform for promoting women's leadership, with the objective of influencing the country's organizational and social culture. Although this type of initiative reflects progress in making women's leadership visible, specialists agree that the challenge remains structural: guaranteeing equitable access to opportunities, decision-making spaces, and working conditions in all sectors.

The challenge, they warn, is not only to open spaces but to consolidate an environment where women's leadership is an integral part of economic and social development.
